The crown jewel of Gred -

Xaviar is the capitol of the Kingdom of the same name. One of the first major human settlements of Gred in known history, it has come from it’s roots of a collection of stragglers joining forces near the river, to a great city. With it’s own advisory council, house of representatives (consisting of members from the colonies, townships, and tribes in the kingdom), and a bloodline monarchy currently on its fourth generation.
The current ruler, King Viriditas Oba, has two daughters (16 and a newborn), a son, and is married to the sister of King Benedictam Vua of Gorgrath.

The advisory council is comprised of great heroes, or people of merit who have saved the city at some point. As such, three of it’s seven members are Pathfinders, along with an elven priestess, an ex-ambassador to Fugalis, and two prominent members of the city council.
While it now sits several miles from the river, it was once right on the bank, a great war of the past moved the river itself away from the cities edge. There are rumors of old ruins under and around the city that show evidence of it’s past origins as a waterfront.
The city itself is physically surrounded by great walls. Approaching it along the road is seeing a wonder of the world. The walls are so high they are said to touch the clouds, though literally they are probably only halfway there. Beautiful sand-colored stones make up the structure of the walls and the capitol buildings of the city. Upon entering the city, adventurers would notice the concave structure of the land. For drainage, or effect, the interior of the city sits much lower than its boundaries. While this would seem foolish from a defensive standpoint, the people of Xaviar are aware there are more defenses in this city than outsiders are aware, and it has defended many Kings in the past from incursions.
The flag is a beautiful yellow, signifying unity. As much as they praise their skills with working with the varied communities inside their territory, the truth is the history of this kingdom is filled with bloody warfare and bigotry. Though they started with a group of varied races and religions, and have always claimed to conduct themselves as a country of tolerance, until the last King was sworn in, this was hardly the case. Now, with the help of a new advisory council and good morals, this country is finally living up to it’s ideals.
King Viriditas, and therefore Xaviar, was voted in during the last meeting of the Seven Kingdoms of Gred as the defacto head of the same. A great treaty was signed between the occasional warring nations 12 years ago. Before that, enmity encompassed Gred. Every King was out for himself and petty squables were constant, the occasional war wasn’t uncommon. Seventy years ago when invasions started coming in from every direction into Gred. Short alliances had been formed, but organization was improvised until the treaty. Since then, boundaries have been agreed upon, trade routes established, and a peace across the land has been getting steadier. Every nation also provides troops to sustain The Bottleneck and patrol the borders of the continent.
